They say they open up at 6am but when I reached there sharp at 6am they were already up and running and the place was packed. I went there for their ghee podi dosa but they don’t serve dosa before 7am. So sat there and tried half their menu. Ghee podi idli 7/10. Firm coffee 10/10. Sabudana Wada 11/10. Podi upma 8/10. Medu Wada 7/10. Ghee podi dosa 10/10 I have also tried their Mysore pak in the past and it just melts in your mouth. Must visit. ”

Ram Ashray is famous for its dosa varieties and I decided to start with their Butter Mysore Dosa. It was crisp, generously smeared with butter, and the spicy chutney inside gave it a kick that paired perfectly with their coconut chutney and piping hot sambar. The idli here is another must-try—soft, fluffy, and comforting, especially when dipped into the hot sambar. For something a little different, I went for the upma, which was light, aromatic, and just the right amount of ghee-rich. Their neer dosa was delicate and smooth, a great contrast to the crisp dosas, and it paired well with the chutneys. One of the highlights of my meal was the pineapple sheera—sweet, fragrant, and with that fruity touch that makes it stand out from the usual suji halwa. “ This place is definitely living upto its reputation of fantastic South Indian food. Went here over a weekend, definitely there was rush and you have to wait a while. Food is brilliant, simple, tasty and worth all the hype. Dosa is indeed great, so is filter coffee. Located in crowded area, so don’t try and drive here. Hygiene is definitely an issue. Table is just cleaned with a dirty clothes, utensils aren’t wasted properly it seems. Service is just average, maybe due to tremendous rush here. Definitely worth visiting. ”
“ Our go to place for south indian breakfast... We plan to visit everytime we are visiting some temple around Dadar, Prabadevi. Ghee tatte idli, Rawa Dosa, Masala Dosa, Pineapple Sheera are out favorites. Rasam vada also we tried but it's spicy due to pepper. Service is super quick and very reasonable prices. Only issue is finding a parking. Hence we always visit in the early morning. If you are planning to use public transport, get down at matunga station and it's walkable from there. ”

This restaurant is so good that whenever I visited it was full of people so please wait for atleast 5 to 10 min I'm telling you won't regret!!
